Jim received his B.B.A. in Finance from Boise State University. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson & Co. in 1995, Jim was an Account Executive with Dean Witter Reynolds in Boise. Active in the community, he has served as Past President and is a current Board Member for Life's Kitchen, a Boise nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of young adults by building self-sufficiency and independence through comprehensive food service and life skills training, placement in the food services industry, and continuing education. Jim was Co-Chairman for the YMCA’s fundraiser, “Invest in Success Stock Market Challenge,” and has lectured at Boise State University and offered financial classes in the Boise Community Education Program. He also organized and supervises the D.A. Davidson/Boise State University Student Investment Fund, providing upper-level finance majors with the opportunity to manage real money as part of their education. He enjoys working with several community organizations, including the local Multiple Sclerosis Chapter, the Boise Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Boise 2009-2010 and coaching youth sports. Jim and his wife, Tammy, live in Boise and have two children.
